Brown’s Basics Foods was established in Missoula MT in 1979 by Mike and Valerie Brown. They ran a successful grocery store and had hopes to expand into coffee shop and bakery. Three daughters and 31 years later Brown’s Basics has been revived. We opened in Bend Oregon in 2017 in a 100 square foot food cart. June 6th we will open in Missoula MT for delivery and have a booth at the Clark Fork River Market.
Brown’s Basics pays tribute to its Montana roots by baking with local ingredients. You can count on our menu to feature, Montana grains, mountain huckleberries, wild raspberries and blackberries.
We create a variety of pastries, cookies, pies, cakes and cupcakes; as well as custom order options. We work with each client individually to create desserts that perfectly complement their event. We customize ingredients and designs. We provide gluten free, dairy free, soy free, tapioca free, paleo, keto and vegan recipes.
